I’m living in Thailand. I recently switched to Revolut for my main international bank. I’ve used it countless times to withdraw cash.
You can use Revolut anywhere to withdraw cash in an ATM that supports Visa or Mastercard, but be aware of any ATM fees. If it’s the given option, ALWAYS decline the ATM’s conversion into your home currency (GDP, EURO, USD) and pay in the home currency, or you will be charged an additional conversion fee.
I love Revolut, but even if they don’t charge withdrawal fees in countries like Thailand, you still need to pay a 220 ($6.64) bank fee. This reason is why I opened a Krungsri Thai bank account today to avoid paying the ridiculous ATM fees. So instead, I will use Revolut to send cash to my Thai bank account.
Certain ATMs in other countries, like Peru, will charge you a withdrawal fee. This website will give you all the up-to-date information.
In the below video, you can see me withdrawing 4000 Thai Baht using my Revolut metal card.
